Finally., the Palace of the Sea is not lost at sea.
It is rest on the bottom of the ocean…..
Tipped over then capsized when the sea turned rough, on a journey it was not designed to carry. Now a palace 1000 feet under, an abyss where denizens of waters hover.
Is it Karma? It has long been a floating seafood restaurant.
Is it karma? It is from a city that consumes the denizens of waters — three times world average.
It was once a sparkling presence, shinng bright at Aberdeen Typhoon Shelter, all decorated to charm the city’s tourists and its guests. Yet, when the winds of COVID blew out its lights, no one came to its rescue, even though it has ardently served the city for the last 40 years. The government turned its back when it was offered as a gift. The typhoon shelter was dim at night without its glory.
Then one day, the residents of Aberdeen were alarmed by the sight that it was being towed away to the open sea. Nothing they could do about it, but helplessly watching…. watching it slowly turned into a grey dot then disappeared. No one knew where it was heading, no one care to tell the citizens a thing. Until bad news came, which announced that the floating palace was tipping over before capsized in the big waves.
Its caretaker said it was an accident, all the fault of inclement weather. The people of this city disbelieved. They called it murder.
For a long time, it was being taken for granted. Now, they screamed that they treasured the floating palace so much and it was the city’s collective memory.
It is probably also the collective memories of the denizens of water, though it might not be pleasant ones, as their cousins being imprisoned and slaughters under the decorated roof of Jumbo. Now, they probably welcome it with their open arms, as the boat sunk to the sea and became their playground and shelter. Dive there, you can probably see fishes playing amongst the columns hide and seek.
Rest well and enjoy your new becoming for now.
