This is a concept installation about Beijing’s water deficiency on a very frigid day outside the fringe of Beijing. The installation found its site next to a polluted small river and the local has a saying that “polluted rivers don’t freeze”. This comments on one of the reasons that Beijing needs to bring water in from elsewhere — the absence of clean rivers.
